FHDI: Medical Records
Films/Report: Original reports and films are sent to the referring physician so the results may be discussed with the patient. If patients need copies of their films or would like to hand-carry them to their doctor we will request that they advise our front desk of this prior to their appointment and will have them fill out a release statement upon check-in.
In most cases, our films and reports are read and mailed within 24 hours. We will fax results to the referring physician when requested; otherwise, original reports are mailed.
First Hill Diagnostic Imaging will retain films and reports from patient exam(s) in accordance with state laws (often for a minimum of five to seven years).
